Community Shared Agriculture (CSA) at its most basic, is a weekly box of food that you pay for in advance. In reality, its so much more than that. By agreeing to purchase a share in our farm, you’re sharing in both the risk and reward of farming. We get paid for our hard work regardless of what mother nature throws at us, and in return you get amazing food and the satisfaction of supporting a local producer. It’s win-win!
Our CSA runs for 12 weeks from July through September. For $300 or about $25/week, each box provides you with a selection of in-season fresh vegetables but aren’t intended to replace your weekly trip to the grocery store. Instead, they’re meant to give you the opportunity to conveniently purchase local food at a price we feel most people can afford.
One of the best things about CSA is the diversity of crops you get to experience – without ever getting dirty! Favourites like peas, corn, beans, and tomatoes are right alongside with less common crops like fennel, kohlrabi, cilantro, and winter squash. You can find a full list of what we’re planning in the member agreement and don’t worry; if you liked a crop in another basket, there is a good chance we’ll have more of it in our farm store.
